Reporting to the Deputy Provost, the Director of Learning Assessment (DLA) works closely with faculty to maintain a culture of assessment and manage assessment of student learning in academic programs, including the University’s Core Curriculum. The DLA provides guidance in the development of learning outcomes, assessment plans and processes, measures, and use of assessment results to improve student learning; coordinates artifact collection and scoring for assessment of the General Education Program; and conducts data analysis and reporting. The DLA also maintains the learning assessment component of the assessment management system and ensures that assessment information is entered and kept up to date. Finally, the DLA develops and implements professional development for faculty related to assessment, meets regularly with Deans and faculty, coordinates the University Assessment Committee, and communicates learning assessment information to the college community.

Doctoral degree in statistics, education, psychology, or related fields
