The Pompea College of Business (PCOB) at the University of New Haven invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Accounting Analytics, beginning in August 2026. You will:

  • Teach: Inspire and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in accounting analytics, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world application of analytics in financial statement analysis, auditing, management and tax fields.
  • Research: Conduct cutting-edge research that advances the field of accounting analytics, with a focus on the evolving analytical requirements of the CPA exam.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative curricula that equips students with the analytical skills needed to excel in the accounting profession.
  • Mentorship: Guide and advise students, fostering their professional development and preparing them for successful careers.
  • Service: Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
  • Editorial Opportunities: Contribute to the PCOB's American Business Review (ABR), an "A" journal in the ABDC list, by getting involved in the editorial responsibilities of the accounting section.
  • Student Engagement: Support and engage with the vibrant Accounting Society and Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) chapter, fostering a strong student community.

You Need:

  • Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of accounting analytics, including data analysis, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
  • CPA Exam Knowledge: Familiarity with the analytical requirements of the CPA exam, enabling you to integrate this knowledge into your teaching and research.
  • Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with a passion for student learning and mentorship.
  • Research Potential: A strong research record or the potential to conduct high-quality research that contributes to the field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively disseminate your research findings and engage with students.
  • Accounting Practice Experience: Accounting practice experience is well regarded.
